“Every face, every shop, bedroom window, public-house, and dark square is a picture feverishly turned–in search of what? It is the same with books. What do we seek through millions of pages?”
― Virginia Woolf, Jacob’s Room

“All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake up in the day to find it was vanity, but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.” ― T.E. Lawrence,
“Like when you sit in front of a fire in winter — you are just there in front of the fire. You don’t have to be smart or anything. The fire warms you.” ― Desmond Tutu

Looking out on Philadelphia from the art museum
The focal point of this photo is the Statue of Washington at the foot of the Philadelphia Art Museum. The park and city of Philly beyond are what make the photo intersting to me.

“Would you like to know your future?
If your answer is yes, think again. Not knowing is the greatest life motivator.
So enjoy, endure, survive each moment as it comes to you in its proper sequence — a surprise.”
― Vera Nazarian, The Perpetual Calendar of Inspiration
“There is no surprise more magical than the surprise of being loved.”
― Charles Morgan
