Quotes Pt. 32

2 Corinthians 13:4

For he was crucified in weakness, but lives by the power of God. For we  also are weak in him, but in dealing with you we will live with him by the power  of God.

Isaiah 26:4

Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting  rock.

I love the opening quote. Is anyone looking to adopt a pet?

Maggie’s pawsability thought for the day:

“I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.”

Maggie and I are sending out our last minute pleading request of her followers & friends to vote for her in the Super Dog Sunday football photo contest. Maggie is #24. The vote is to bring awareness for homeless pets (and preventing euthanasia) through the Petfinder Foundation. Yes, Maggie is competitive and likes a win here or there, but she wants a win-win. Heaven Pt. 92

Storm Clouds by Melanie Lillie

Storm Clouds by Melanie Lillie

“When the LORD was about to take Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind, Elijah and
Elisha were traveling from Gilgal And Elijah said to Elisha, “Stay here, for the LORD has told me to go to
Bethel.” But Elisha replied, “As surely as the LORD lives and you yourself live,
I will never leave you!” So they went down together to Bethel.” II Kings 2:1,2

Do you know what the Devil’s most effective tool in stealing miracles from God’s people is? It’s convincing them to give up searching for the miracle at noon when the miracle is scheduled for 12:05. Even Elijah tried to discourage his disciple from following him across the Jordan, but Elisha was determined not to miss out on what was coming. He loved his master and didn’t want to see him go. He was also determined to receive Elijah’s final blessing. He was sticking with the aged prophet straight to the bitter end in order to get the double portion.

We are about to see an even bigger home going than Elisha saw when the chariots of fire came to pick up Elijah. We are also faced with plenty of voices who are telling us to give up the faith we’ve held on to up to this point. Don’t listen to them! Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus until He comes to get you in the whirlwind of the rapture.
