“When the LORD was about to take Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind, Elijah and
Elisha were traveling from Gilgal And Elijah said to Elisha, “Stay here, for the LORD has told me to go to
Bethel.” But Elisha replied, “As surely as the LORD lives and you yourself live,
I will never leave you!” So they went down together to Bethel.” II Kings 2:1,2
Do you know what the Devil’s most effective tool in stealing miracles from God’s people is? It’s convincing them to give up searching for the miracle at noon when the miracle is scheduled for 12:05. Even Elijah tried to discourage his disciple from following him across the Jordan, but Elisha was determined not to miss out on what was coming. He loved his master and didn’t want to see him go. He was also determined to receive Elijah’s final blessing. He was sticking with the aged prophet straight to the bitter end in order to get the double portion.
We are about to see an even bigger home going than Elisha saw when the chariots of fire came to pick up Elijah. We are also faced with plenty of voices who are telling us to give up the faith we’ve held on to up to this point. Don’t listen to them! Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus until He comes to get you in the whirlwind of the rapture.
I think I lost you between the first and second paragraphs–there’s no doubt I’ll hold onto my faith in Jesus till the bitter end, but were you speaking about “other miracles” in the first paragraph? If so, it’s possible I’ve relinquished, given up hoping for, other miracles which God might do at noon-oh-five. If you don’t have time to clarify, that’s fine. God bless you and the fam–love, sis Caddo
I am sorry for being so convoluted here Sis. I may have been trying to say too much with too few words. I think was pushing for us to believe for both things. We are to hold onto our faith until we see our own chariot of fire coming. But I think that while we are holding on for that we also ought to be waiting and expecting to see the “goodness of the Lord while we are in the land of the living” because we have seen God’s miracles in the lives of others.
Thank you for encouraging us in our walks with Jesus! God bless you!
You are welcome Deb!
I am holding on because I do not want to be one prayer short of His miracle. Waiting with great anticipation and expectancy for our Lord to return! I so love this series on Heaven, thank you, Pastor J.
Thanks Deb!

We are one day closer!
Keep looking up!
Amen!
