A 21 Day Spiritual Journey Day 15

“Let us never forget to pray.  God lives.  He is near.  He is real.  He is not only aware of us but cares for us.  He is our Father.  He is accessible to all who will seek Him.”

“I have been driven many times upon my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had no where else to go. My own wisdom and that of all about me insufficient for that day.”
―    Abraham Lincoln

As I take this spiritual journey I am  seeing that prayer is the crossroads where my weakness meets with God’s ability. It is at this place called prayer where I can get off the road of failure and join the way of success.

Where are your prayers taking you these days?

  1. I think they are taking me further and further into thanksgiving, which in turn takes me further into trust–then follows more gratitude and joy and trust. I wish I could tell you how palpably real His Presence is to me–so nearly visible, and certainly audible–and I think I’ve quite stopped caring whether that might sound “crazy”. God bless you and the fam–love, sis Caddo

  2. My prayers are taking me into a deeper faith and trust in Him that fills my heart with such peace. I have such joy in walking by faith until it is sight because when my God shows off for His people what a glorious day it will be. I don’t know how to explain how my heart has changed in these last few weeks. I guess you could say it is a love like I have never felt or had before which has led to a trust like no other. He truly is my all and all. Thanks, Pastor J for guiding us through this journey.

  3. The power of prayer is becoming more and more evident to me…….I thank God for increased intimacy with Him and increased impact through prayers.

  4. I guess my prayer takes me deeper into the heart of God and closer fellowship and agreement with Him.

Talking about prayer . . . in case you’ve had time to view the news . . .

The whole of the Queensland coast has been ravaged by cyclone and ex cyclone Oswald, with extensive damage amounting to billions of dollars.

Bundaberg received 530mm rain (over 20 inches) with cyclonic winds and six tornados. We now have extensive flooding with at least 600 buildings flooded, about 200 badly damaged, roads and streets flooded, two people in critical condition after a tree fell on their car and one 81 year old man died (drowned) trying to tie down his yacht.

Church was cancelled yesterday because of the unsafe road conditions. Oswald has passed now, but the flooding is rising. We are high and dry where we are and had no more than a few smaller branches down.
