I know what the Bible says about me….I am more than a conqueror….God will never leave me nor forsake me….Nothing can separate me from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus. I know these things are true but sometimes when the enemy is hot on my heels forgetting the truth seems a foregone conclusion.
How about you? Do you ever struggle with the truth of who you are and what you are capable of in Christ?
Here is what I see in today’s chapters:
I Samuel chapter 23 sermon topics/ titles:
1. Engage Afraid! I Sam. 23:1-5
2. Betrayed By Those You’ve Tried To Help: I Sam. 23:6-1
3. Look For the Helpers: I Sam. 23: 15-18
I Samuel chapter 24 sermon topics/ titles:
1. Opportunities To Be Passed Up: I Sam 24: 1-5
2. Remembering Your Real Enemy: I Sam. 24:5-12
3. “From Evil People Come Evil Deeds!” : I Sam. 24: 13-22
Now tell me what you see in these chapters! 🙂
Yes, I struggle with it–and then Jesus hugs me up, and reminds me that together we always win, that He’s the hero! God bless you and the fam–love, sis Caddo
I had a youth Pastor who used to remind us that Lord and Savior meant Hero and Boss. Your comment about the hero brought me back!
“Look For the Helpers:” and “Remembering Your Real Enemy” these two will be extremely helpful when the battle begins. Here’s what I saw in these chapters.
1 Samuel 23
1. Will you enter the battle on His first call? 1 Sam 23:1-12
2. What are you running from? 1 Sam 23:13-20
3. Have you discovered His hiding place? 1 Sam 23:25-29
1 Samuel 24
1. When your enemy is a mere heartbeat away. 1 Sam 24:3-4
2. I have been rescued! Have you? 1 Sam 24:15
3. He commands good for evil through His love. 1 Sam 24:17-21
Your number 1 is such an imprtant question Deb! Because the call is going out!
Oh yes, Pastor J . ..so extra thank you’s for reminding us today of who we are in Jesus! I loved “Remembering your real enemy”. 🙂 God bless you and yours this Christmas and always!
