This may be several days old but the message is powerful for this entire season! Jesus may come tomorrow! He may come a long time hence (though I think the former more likely than the latter). What will He find you doing?

Black Friday… a day when multitudes of Americans act irrationally, creating retail chaos. I would like to share with you a Christ-like alternative to camping out in front of a store, charging through the doors when they’re opened, grabbing items from other people’s hand and completely forgetting the truth of Christmas. This just touched my heart so. The church staff this year is forgoing presents for each other and we are giving our gift money to the work of the Lord! Time is short!

Yes, time is running out and once again I am reminded of the words written in the diary of Jim Elliot that I ‘pinched’ for my life motto:
