It has been too long since we have practiced the chapter charts together. In my defense there have been so many other things to say that I just didn’t know where to put our little devotional exercises.
God has indeed put me in a spacious place abounding with the presence of the Holy Spirit! I am actually writing this blog on Monday night Oct. 15th in anticipation of a week of abundant blessing that will preclude me writing again until sometime after the 21st. By the time of this posting I hope to be collating the pictures and videos of the second annual C.cada art show and to be packing for a conference in Hyannis. I’ll share all that excitement with you later for now… here is what I see in today’s chapters:
Judges chapter 20 sermon topics/titles:
1. What Will It Take To Unite Us In the Presence Of the Lord? Judges 20:1-11
2. Let Praise Proceed: Judges 20: 18
3. Don’t Quit! Keep Seeking God! Judges 20: 15- 48
Judges chapter 21 sermon topics/titles:
1. Making Foolish Vows :Judges 21
2. The Cost Of Not Showing Up; Judges 21: 8-12
3. On Never Learing: Judges 21
Now tell me what you see. 🙂
God bless you as you and the second annual art show for Jesus . ..and your trip too! Thanks for showing us what you found chapter charting!
Thanks Deb! It has been a great five days!
“What Will It Take To Unite Us In the Presence Of the Lord? ” I love this one. Here’s what I saw in these chapters.
Judges 20
1. You never benefit from revenge all parties lose. Judges 20:4-13
2. A tribal ambush. Judges 20:33
3. Can all sin ever be removed? Judges 20:1-46
Judges 21
1. Trying to replace what was once lost? Judges 21:1-12
2. Fulfilling vows by literal justification. Judges 21:19-22
3. The rebuilding of a tribe. Judges 21:23-25
The rebuilding of a tribe is interesting. I am not sure I like how they did it. Still it was a unique solution.
