Quotes Pt. 18

I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and
thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will
happen and have no doubt in your heart- Jesus of Nazareth

  1. WOW, Pastor J. So, if we have doubt, the mountain won’t move? Is it that cut and dried, literal? Some days I can believe the “nothing is impossible” verses, but other times I’m like, “okay, God–let’s get real now–what’s on my heart isn’t just impossible, it’s absurd to believe for it.” Any quick words for me today? It’s not a pressing urgency, so you don’t need to drop what you’re doing. God bless you and the fam–love, sis Caddo

    • THank you Sis for this comment. Nothing in this life is that cut and dried is it? It’s easy to take one verse out of the Word and turn it into the whole basis for our understanding of how God works. Is the verse the truth?Yes! Is it the whole truth? No! This truth needs to be deepened by the revelation that faith is not just belief in a certain set of eventualities but a trust in a God that results in a lifestyle of obedience which in turn removes obstacles to the flow of His power into our lives. The verse also presupposes that we as humans understand the difference between a Satanic mountain and a God sent road block. I think Sis you have given me enough for another blog! Thanks

  2. I like to think of it as moving my mountain one wheel barrel full at a time. That way I’m not shell shocked and say, “did that really happen or did I just imagine it”. Thank God I am not moving this mountain by myself. In His timing all things are done for His glory. Thank you, God for helping me one wheel barrel full at a time.
