Quotes Pt. 17

Broken and Spilled Out by JE Lillie

Before He furnishes the abundant supply, we must first be made conscious of our emptiness. Before he gives strength, we must be made to feel our weakness. Slow, painfully slow, are we to learn this lesson; and slower still to own our nothingness and take the place of helplessness before the Mighty One.- A.W. Pink

  1. Now THIS is an excellent word, Pastor J (great photo, too!)–and to my surprise, it’s kinda sorta close to what I wrote on my “other blog”. If you want to check it out (it’s short) it’s here: http://bareheartpromenade.wordpress.com (the post is “We Are Cups…”) God bless you abundantly–love, sis Caddo

  2. “Broken and poured out” . . . many thoughts spring to mind.

(Sorry, but I don’t like the word ‘spilled’ because to me it speaks of a accident, whereas ‘poured’ is deliberate. I cringe when the word spilled or spilt is used regarding the blood of Christ)

  3. I love getting to see how you are using those broken branch pictures, Pastor J! What a wonderful way to speak to people of God and His grace. Deep quote for us too, to go with! God bless you!

  4. I love how you use the black and white technique for your photos and there is such truth in the your quote-it is in our weakness we are made strong. Many blessings to you, Pastor J,as you continue to share your beautiful art with us.
