Share Your World With Cee Cee Pt. 25

So this is my 25th “Share Your World” post!  I may have been late to the game but I am so glad I stumbled upon the life-revealing questions  that Cee posts for us. Let me encourage some of you readers to play along. It doesn’t take long and we all can get to know one another a little better.

  • It’s a very hot and muggy day. You desperately want something very cool and refreshing to quench your thirst and revitalize your body. What would you drink? A nice tall pink lemonade, or a Moxie!
  • What do you keep in the trunk of your car? Right now in the trunk of my van I have two blankets, a bathrobe, a winter coat, a rain jacket, 2 birthday cards, a turkey roasting pan, an electric skillet, two coffee mugs and a box of dog biscuits.
  • What is your favorite TV show that is currently on TV? NCIS
  • Is it more important to love or be loved? This is sort of a circular question for me. I love because I am loved. I can only really love because I am aware I am loved, not by people because human love can come and go, but I am loved by the Creator of the Universe more intimately than any other could ever love me. I am known by Him and yet He loves me in spite of that. Truth is we are all known and loved by Him. So it is most important that we love because being loved is a done deal for all of us whether we realize it or not.

  1. I definitely can see how you would go with the pink lemonade but the moxie???? but then again it is your thirst you are quenching. I have to say NCIS is one of our household’s favorites as well. You have certainly captured this beautiful season of Fall. Thanks, Pastor J for sharing.

    • Moxie is the drink of champions Deb! OK that’s milk but moxie must run a close second in there. Anyone who can palate the taste is definitely strong of constitution! 🙂

  2. So what is a Moxie? I’d prefer an icy cold water with a dash of lemon juice.

Your second one – all I can do is ask “WHY?” At first I thought a camping trip for two, but then I wondered about the birthday cards. (Apart from the spare tyre and tools under the boot floor, my boot is empty) Er…. read trunk but we call it a boot.

    • Moxie is New England’s signature soda Angela. It is the only place you can buy it and I think only New Englanders (and then only a few) can stomach it. It is sort of a cross between cream soda, root beer and copper pennies! 🙂 As to how things get in my boot… er trunk that is a mystery to me. I am sure I bring them out and throw them in for some reason but honestly I have no memory of doing it. Sometimes I look in and say “Oh that’s where that is. How did that get there?”

  3. I love it when you share your world! Giggling about the trunk contents, because I’ve kept stuff in my trunk for unknown reasons as well! We recently got a different vehicle and so had to clean everything out of the other and start fresh! So far just an ice scraper back there! God bless you J . ..LOVE the pics!!!

    • Thanks Deb. I am constantly finding new and interesting things in the trunk of my van. I would love to blame it on my kids but as they are all in college and drive their own vehicles I guess I have to take the blame.

  4. A “Bathrobe”, Pastor J??!! This puts hilarious images/scenes in my mind–and I’ve never met you–wish you’d elaborate on that one!! God bless you abundantly–love, sis Caddo

    • Yeah not sure exactly how that happened Sis. I am thinking it was probably from my last missions trip. Near as I can figure I probably had to rummage through my luggage for something and took it out telling myself “Be sure to get that later.” Well that was August so October is technically later… 😉

  5. I enjoyed reading your answers, Pastor J! 🙂 Awesome photographs! NCIS is definitely one of my favorite TV shows. It’s probably at the top of my list! 🙂

  6. I love your answer to the love. “So it is most important that we love because being loved is a done deal for all of us whether we realize it or not.” Yeah, it’s a done deal. I love what is in your van….
