Do not strive in your own strength; cast yourself at the feet of the Lord Jesus, and wait upon Him in the sure confidence that He is with you, and works in you. Strive in prayer; let faith fill your heart-so will you be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.

The casting and the waiting seem opposite to gaining strength, but it is in our weakness that He is made strong.

It is so true Ann. At moments it seems almost impossible not to take up what should be left in Jesus’ hands but I have found the hour of greatest temptation comes just before the victory!
“Strong in the Lord and in the power of His might” – the only way, for I am weak and useless on my own.
Indeed! Me too! 🙂
