Praying for these soldiers and their familes

Stumbling into Grace

A very good Family friend has asked for continued Prayer for the “Darkhorse” 3rd battalion 5th Marines and their families

Here is the request:

Prayer  Needed/WANTED

We are asking everyone to say a prayer for “Darkhorse” 3rd Battalion

5th Marines and their families. They are fighting it out in

Afghanistan & they have lost 12 marines in 4 days.

IT WOULD BE NICE  TO SEE the message spread if more people could pass

it on. Nothing has been in the media about these guys because no one

seems to care.

They are: Justin Allen, 23; Brett Linley, 29; Matthew Weikert, 29;

Justus Bartett, 27; Dave Santos, 21; Chase Stanley, 21; Jesse Reed,

26; Matthew Johnson, 21; Zachary Fisher, 24; Brandon King, 23;

Christopher Goeke, 23; Sheldon Tate, 27.

All are Marines that gave their lives for  YOU this week.

Please Honor THEM

Thank       you.

Pastor Wrinkles: Hey Jude Pt. 5

Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints. Jude 1:3 NIV

We have been talking about the necessity of contending for the faith. Why is it necessary to fight for the faith? Can’t God defend the faith himself? Sure HE could. God can do anything, but Jude points out that the faith has been entrusted to the saints. God authored the faith. God will complete the faith. God will work for our faith but He has committed it to us…that is God has perididomi the faith to us which means-

to give over into (one’s) power or use

a) to deliver to one something to keep, use, take care of, manage BLB Lexicon

God has turned the faith over into our hands. Now He will come in and work with it, build it up and move it forward for us but only by our permission. God does not choose how far we go with our faith. God does not choose how strong we become in our faith. God does not choose our level of victory through faith. We decide all those things! Once we choose…truly choose and commit to the course then God comes in and does whatever is necessary to make our faith into a reality.

God can do anything with a heart that is determined to contend for the faith against a world set in unbelief!
