C.cada Update June

Your most profound and intimate experiences of worship will likely be in your darkest days – when your heart is broken, when you feel abandoned, when your out of options, when the pain is great – and you turn to God alone.- Rick Warren
From the album “Broken Branches” JE Lillie

C.cada is our church artist community. We meet once a month to pursue our art and encourage one another in the work for Christ. Here are some of the things we have finished this month.

The Three Sisters- From the album Broken Branches- JE Lillie

All of our artists do double duty, making money at things other than their art work. Charlotte Dorais (pronounced Doray) is our church administrator. This is a picture of her private studio. In the background you can see a mural she has done for our upcoming VBS, “Sky”.

Here are more of Charlotte’s original works.

If any of this inspired you rise up and pursue your art! God put the passion inside of you to be used. Take the time to bring Him glory!

  3. I love Charlotte’s paintings and Pastor J, your 1st photo really speak to me. As if it is speaking to my spirit- It’s just you and me, Lord. I choose to stand with You, Lord. Thank you for sharing.

  4. Love Charlotte’s painting of the Maine coast, brings back fond memories of vacationing in Maine. Thank you, Charlotte!
Love the pictures from the Broken Branches albums. When growing up I was always drawn to drawing trees, never with leaves just barren, stripped of all their color, Inever knew why until now. I was not a very happy child but am realizing it may have been my cry to God, I am here just as I am. I have no outer beauty persay so I stand before you stripped of it all, hear my cry! Though not yet a Christian till many years later, I always loved Jesus, just never knew what and how receiving Him could make those branches thought to be dead and barren flourish with His light and glory for all to see.
Thank you Lord Jesus for this revelation & piece of inner healing that I need, Praise the Lord!!!! He knows our hearts before we even do and never gives up on us!!! Thank you Pastor J for allowing the Lord to speak to me through you beautiful art!
