“But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:…And thy heaven that [is] over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee [shall be] iron.” Deut. 28: 15, 23 KJV
The saddest thing on the face of this Earth has to be the Christian who by his own choice has closed himself off from the blessing of Heaven. God doesn’t willingly shut out any of His people. His desire is to bless and not curse; But sometimes we can bring about the shutting of the Heavens by our own stubborn wilfulness. We have the ability to remove ourselves from the pathway of blessing by simply choosing to walk off it. Of course,God will follow after us trying to draw us back to obedience. In His wisdom he will use the law of sowing and reaping…action and consequence to do it.
The wonderful thing about God’s grace is that there is an endless supply! When we do find ourselves standing away from the blessed rains of Heaven underneath a brazen sky we only have to cry for His mercy, forgiveness and grace. He will never refuse a repentant heart. He will bring us to restoration and unlock once again the Heavens we forced Him to shut against us in the first place.
Oh how I love Jesus! Oh how He has restored me! Oh how sweet the rains are! Who is joining me in this praise?
Oh how I love Jesus! Oh how He has restored me! Oh how sweet the rains are! Pastor J, I certainly am joining you in that praise and Lord, I pray that they will want to return home to you where they belong. A-men!
May God hear your prayer Deb!
I thank you Lord that your mercies are new each morning! I’m glad I serve such a loving and forgiving God. Lord, reveal yourself to your broken & estranged loved ones in a way that only they can understand and without a doubt know that it is you, Jesus, knocking at their door. Lord, I pray that they hear that knock and humble themselves to open the door to let you in. Amen, Amen & Amen!!!
A-men Lord! Here the intercessions of your daughter Sandy! Thanks for writing this prayer Sandy!
Pastor J, I am joining in your praise and your love for Jesus! Thankful for His grace and the breath of His Spirit who gives us the life He intends!
And that is life to the full Tom! Let us determine to live in the fullness of life!

There is so much blessing for those who seek His face in truth and spirit … so many are in bondage, afflictions and pain when they don’t have to be. How thankful I am for His constant forgiveness and how the moment we turn to Him, He welcomes us with open arms! — Rachel
Oh Rachel you are so right. The saddest thing about the day of judgment will be that it was so totally unnecessary because of grace! Oh that the eyes of men and women everywhere would be opened to the grace of Christ!
We serve an amazing God who delights to bless us abundantly. If I fail to receive His blessings the fault is with me, not Him!
What an amazing God!
How often have I failed to meet Him at the point of blessing! You are right it is never a God problem it is always a me-problem!
