Heaven Pt. 50

“The land you are entering to take over is not like the land of Egypt, from which you have come, where you planted your seed and irrigated it by foot as in a vegetable garden. But the land you are crossing the Jordan to take possession of is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks rain from heaven. It is a land the LORD your God cares for; the eyes of the LORD your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end.” Deut. 11:10-12 NIV

“Reinventing the We’ll” has hit two milestones in a week! Pastor Wrinkle’s Chapter Charts has made it to post 75 and now The Heaven posts have reached number 50! More than that, tomorrow will mark my 500th post!Let’s celebrate!

I can honestly say this is not the work of JE Lillie. Left to my own devices I would have abandoned the blog long ago. I don’t have the drive to write daily. I know this because I have tried all my adult life  and have failed. But God has helped me even as He helped Israel when they went into the land. He has watched over me everyday and given me that which I could not provide for myself!

I was afraid to start blogging because I was afraid of failure. I knew what was in me and I knew it wasn’t enough. Maybe you are afraid of stepping into something too. Maybe you’ve grown comfortable where you are because you can handle where you are in your own strength. Maybe you’re just like the Israelites in Egypt.  For them it wasn’t good but at least they knew how to survive under their own steam. Perhaps you’re afraid to move into God’s plan because you think you  don’t have what it takes. The truth is you probably don’t. But when we move forward with God it’s not about our strength; It’s about His. Just like God watches over the land of Israel, so He watches over you! He has promised never to leave you nor forsake you.

SO:

“Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.” Psm. 37: 5,6

Whatever it is that holds you back, give it to Jesus to take care of and move on!
