“Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now the LORD thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude” Deut. 10:22 KJV
Remember Israel started as one small insignificant family tossed into a sea of troubled nations. Now it is the hinge on which the door to eternity hangs.
God’s chosen vessel is almost always the underdog, the dark horse, the runner lagging behind from the start of the race. The success of God’s ventures always rely on the inability and incompetence of God’s partners in business and the miracle of God.
So if God has made you a promise and you don’t see anyway in the natural for the thing to come to pass, relax that’s just you standing at the headwaters of God’s river. Take a step of faith into the river and see where the waters take you. It probably won’t be a comfortable ride, it will probably take you through some uncharted territory you never would have chosen. In the end it will be the great adventure He chose for you!
This is a wonderful encouragement, Pastor J! Thank you and God bless you!
You are welcome!
This is a great word today. It confirms what I was telling one of my sisters in Christ yesterday, that God would not have put her there if He did not mean to equip her to do His work. Please help me pray against the spirit of discouragement. A-men!!!
That spirit is so strong in our land…But greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world!
God can do so much with so little! Thank you! Step in to the waters…
I am stepping brother come and join me!
When you say… “The success of God’s ventures always rely on the inability and incompetence of God’s partners in business and the miracle of God”, it is such a blessing. This means that when the Lord calls me to service, I should forget my incompetence and simply rely on HIm to work a miracle! What a great thought! Lord bless you!
A-men! None of us can do the works of God! God does them through us!
So if God has made you a promise and you don’t see anyway in the natural for the thing to come to pass, relax that’s just you standing at the headwaters of God’s river
Hello Pastor J.. what a good and encouraging word for me today! Paulette and I were just discussing this a few minutes ago. You pray and wait, pray and wait over and over until you just get so tired because it feels just like God is not listening. Well he told us He is Still Able, for I sure don’t see anyway in the natural for what God promised me.So I need to “relax” and do some more waiting, because “Great Is His Faithfulness”!!
Love you Pastor P. 😀
While waiting I always look with the eyes of the Spirit to find what God is doing in the waiting. Sometimes I don’t like what I see until I embrace it. Then His Spirit girds me about and I can walk the valley of shadow! The darkest place is light to Him! Praying for you sister!
Thanks Pastor J.,the darkest place is light to him,I’ll remember that!!!
Keep on keepin’ on sister!
What an amazing God we serve! He calls us to do something for Him . . . and then HE does it, using our bodies, our minds etc. Incredible! but we see it over and over again in our lives, as “we” (not) accomplish something we could not possibly do of our own selves. We need to be more “rubber band” people – willing to be stretched to be of any use.
What an amazing God.
It is true there is so much more in us than we know…And only He can bring it out!
God bless you Pastor J! What an encouraging and thought-provoking word today! I was definitely blessed by it, as well as the accompanying comments! Beautiful discussion!
I just know that this lovely post will lift the hearts of many readers today. Thank you so much for these encouraging words.
Thank you for the compliment! 🙂
